About Me

• Background:

4th April 1964, I was born in a renowned teacher’s family in Kadamtali ,Rangunia, which is a small village in Chittagong, the port city of Bangladesh.

My late grandfather Gyanada Ranjan Biswas was a very well-known and adored headmaster at the Rangunia MM High School. He believed in helping others by enlightening them with knowledge.

My father also followed his footsteps by being a head teacher at the Hathazari Nangolmora High School but I moved to an entirely different field other than teaching.

• Education:

Having completed my bachelor’s degree from Rangunia University College in 1983, I enrolled myself in Chittagong University in 1984 but due to some unforeseeable circumstances that arose in our country I had to drop studies amidst and join work in order to contribute to my family.

• Work and experiences:

Now with a strong desire and urge to work, I was employed in KDS Garment Industries Limited, one of the largest and leading garments in Bangladesh now and the then.

From 1985 to 1987, I worked as a Supervisor at the Production and Pattern Design. The next 10 years I worked as an Assistant Manager in the Marketing and Sales department. This job gained me quite a lot of experiences home and abroad.

On account of business tours, I also have had the opportunity of visiting places such as Dusseldorf and Hannover in Germany, Netherland, London, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, India etc. Getting to know about the cultures, food and languages of these places added a new dimension to my experiences as well.

From 1998 to 2008, I owned a Buying House and currently I am designated as the Chairman at Chowdhury Enterprise C&F Limited. Besides, I am involved in works like Trainer -garments merchandising, Internet Research and SEO.

• Language skills:

I am a local Chittagonian; therefore I can speak that tongue fluently and also Bengali which is my native and mother language. Apart from that, I also have good skills in English and Hindi which makes it quite convenient to deal with various people in different circumstances.

• Life member:

I am a lifetime member at the Thalassemia Welfare Centre Bangladesh & Red Crescent Society Chittagong.

• Likes and Interests:

I am a firm believer of Honesty and Helping others. I love cooking, listening to music which includes mostly Gazal and travelling to different places also attracts me a lot.
